Geocache Description:

*************************CONGRATULATIONS TO mr.miggle for FTF!!!************** __________________________From Rt. 156 (Neck Road) in Old Lyme turn west onto Tantummaheag Road. Cross over a narrow, stone bridge and continue straight through two stone pillars with a Tantummaheag Landing sign. The town landing is straight ahead; parking for 1-2 vehicles on the right just before the put-in. May not be navigable at low tide. FTF gets coffee and donuts!

Although there are several launch places on this side of the Connecticut River, my feeling is that you can never have too many! This little site puts you right into Lord’s Cove, which is certainly worth a day’s exploration. **Don't worry, it looks "private" but is a listed town launch site. Not the easiest access; there is a muddy path through the reeds; I know it's doable 'cuz I've done it. Before heading out, see what the water level looks like at low tide, to avoid having to paddle down to Pilgrim’s Landing, far from your parking spot. While you are here, check out the old millpond and dam next to the access road. Enjoy the view and paddling!
