LavaLizard: We reviewers typically operate under the assumption that adequate permission exists to place a cache unless circumstances suggest otherwise. As it appears that this cache was placed on private property without obtaining permission from the property owner or land manager, I am archiving this cache listing to remove it from search pages.
In addition, I note that this cache is placed in close proximity to a powerline tower. Geocaching.com cache placement guidelines prohibit caches placed near or under structures deemed to be potential targets for terrorist attacks. The guidelines provide as follows: Caches may be quickly archived if we see the following (which is not inclusive):
Caches near or under public structures deemed potential or possible targets for terrorist attacks. These include but are not limited to highway bridges, dams, government buildings, elementary and secondary schools, and airports.
In the past, there have been a number of problems with caches placed on transmission line towers and as a result we will no longer publish caches placed on or near these towers and we may archive existing caches if they come to our attention.
If you would like to contact me regarding this cache, please do so via my profile page: http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=322f7189-2996-4774-9484-c0f4e6be6059 . Be sure to include the GC code in your message.
If the issues that lead its archival can be resolved, it may be possible to unarchive this cache.
Thank you for your contributions to geocaching.
