In an effort to recognize those who pass a major milestone, our community has started the tradition of placing milestone caches. Caches are placed for every 1000 found. It's just a small way to congratulate local cachers and their efforts. This cache is placed in recognition of Geckl69’s 1000th find. Congratulations! of course, the FTF goes to Geckl69--congrats! ************************************** 11/10/13 Panther in the Den and I were suspicious when we saw a couple logs saying the ammo box was soaked inside.....off to investigate! As we suspected, the box was bone dry and fine. So.....what's with the logs?! Yikes!! There's a cammoed box 5 feet away from where the real cache is hidden!! Yes, really - and here's the story: Melissa was walking in Raceway Woods - she goes there to clear her head. Her boyfriend had recently died. She found the cache S.O.W. (now archived) by Ambusher. She didn't know about geocaching but it gave her a smile. She decided to re-hide it to hopefully bring a smile to others. The cache has been travelling around, folks signing the log and sometimes telling where they found it and re-hiding it. Some people wishing her well and some dedicating the box to lost loved ones. The cache ended up 5 feet away from this one sometime between July and October. Pretty amazing. Is this a new game? .
