Renmark Football Club
This cache has been placed at the home ground of the Renmark Football Club. The cache should not be attempted whilst there is any activity (winter or summer sports) on the oval or at any of the adjacent sporting venues as the cache is in a somewhat exposed location with there being nowhere for a cacher to hide if caught in the act!
The Renmark Football Club plays in the Riverland Football League. The Renmark Football Club is known as the Renmark Rovers, and they wear blue and white jumpers.
According to the footypedia web site the Renmark Football Club first played in 1909, and won their first premiership in 1912 whilst playing in the Murray Football Association. In 1921 Renmark Football Club changed its name to Renmark Town Football Club. In 1923 Renmark Town Football Club and Fairview Rovers amalgamated to form the Renmark Rovers Football Club.
Over time the local competition has been referred to as the Upper Murray Football Association and as the Upper Murray Football League.
In 1972 the Riverland Football League was adopted as the name of the competition, with the Renmark Football Club first becoming premiers in 1977.
