Geocache Description:

A cache hidden up by black brook within sight of great hill

A small lock and seal box containing the usual. Also in the box is TB - Kezi Koala just setting off on her epic journey. This cache is hidden alongside Black Brook near an interesting geological feature. Recommended parking is at White Coppice cricket pitch. The path I would advise is along the gorge path. You may find it difficult to access this from PUP'S series on the top path. If you're feeling adventurous you can walk some of the way in the gorge itself (this is the best route IMO - but take GREAT care if you have small children with you.) This is a bit of a tricky walk so go equipped; and be prepared to get your feet a bit wet. Incidentally there is evidence of the mining activities in this area - an adit entrance at N 53 39.938' W002 33.886' Have a look inside - BUT DON'T GO IN!! This walk is along part fells part riverside part gorge. You seek this cache at your own risk - the countryside can be dangerous - assess the risk for yourself. If in doubt - Don't.
