I've noted that
lately the sport of geocaching has taken on some new interest
in the region of Lake Logan Martin, so I (and Team Bama) will
be hosting Pell City's first geocaching event. Come learn
about caching and have a picnic lunch on the lake with us.
This is private property, however, we have Team Bama's
permission to be there. To get there take the dirt road off
of the end of Skyline Trail, to the end of the peninsula.
Come talk caching, bring your swag, TBs, and caching stories,
and come eat lunch (12noon-2pm). We will be grilling hot
dogs, so bring your folding chair(s), a side dish, chips
& drinks of your choice and 'let's do lunch'! There are
some new caches in the area already and Team Bama will be
placing additional ones before the event. As always new
cachers and their families and those interested in learning
more about the sport of geocaching are welcome and encouraged
to attend--come join the fun!
