This cache is a great "park & grab" and one I placed in memory of my father who, it seems, never went a day without stopping here for one of his favorite eats.
For over thirty years this grill was a North Durham landmark with a huge following of "regulars". The cook, Lilly, was known for serving the best breakfast biscuits anywhere. The lunch crowd filled the tiny parking lot on a daily basis and patrons would stand in line to get the banana pudding on Wednesdays!
Sadly, the times changed and it has since closed but will forever be remembered as a favorite spot to enjoy some good, old-fashioned home cooking.
This is a traditional ammo box cache. I have "pre-loaded" it with a travel bug, some seasonal pins, "Duke" items, and various Post-It type notes.
Have fun, stay safe and remember to CITO!
