A small plastic container near the Freemantle gatehouse of Appuldurcombe House. Has room for a few small items
The Freemantle Lodge Gateway was built late 18th century has to be one of the Isle of Wights best oddities. A grand gatehouse seemingly in the middle of nowhere. It is also quite well known for the apparitions of two young boys who haunt it. You may have seen it on Most Haunted.
The cache is away from the gatehouse, just off the path. Make sure you enjoy the views from both sides of the gate - they are quite dramatically different.
