Geocache Description:

A nice cache on a side road above Hwy. 22. If it's wet, be careful. Park safely.

In both Iowa and Illinois, the raising of hogs is a major industry. Galesburg native son, Carl Sandburg, referred to Chicago in poem not only as "the city of big shoulders," but as the "hog butcher to the world." Kewanee, IL, calls itself the "Hog Capital of the World," and numerous hog operations dot the countryside in Iowa. Uphill from the cache, this road branches out into a couple of major research facilities on livestock feed products. There is a rather panoramic view in some spots, sketching the shape of the massive Wyoming Hill geologic feature nearby. I'd like to do an Earthcache on the hill, but have yet to find a safe place to park. Have fun!
