Geocaching HQ: This cache has now been archived as requested by IDNR. You have 30 days to seek a permit from IDNR and have your cache approved again by your local reviewer. You can find the new policy, the form to apply for a permit, and the step-by-step instructions on what to do to have your cache unarchived at http://www.in.gov/dnr/7488.htm .

Please be sure to read through the new policy so that we can help to publish your cache again as soon as possible. Your local reviewers and Groundspeak are available to answer any questions. You will find at the bottom of this log the email addresses of the Indiana Reviewers as well as a contact at Groundspeak who are happy to help.

Please know that the Indiana reviewers have done everything in their power to keep as many caches as possible on IDNR lands and to make this transition as smooth as possible. They have worked long and hard with the IDNR to come up with a new policy that will work for most cache owners. We are very sorry for any inconvenience the implementation of this permit process may cause.

Geocache Description:

GEO-CLONE/CACHE EXPERIMENT PART 1

GEO-CLONE/CACHE EXPERIMENT
PART 1

This is the first ever (far as I know) GEO-CLONE/CACHE. This experiment consists of two identical “clone” caches. Both of these clones contain identical goodies, consisting of:
1 metal slinky
1 mini video game
1 wind up sushi
1 green rubber ducky
3 bottles of bubbles
3 rubber spiders
Also in the ammo can will be a log book, two pencils, a pencil sharpener (please log your visit) and a disposable camera (please take a picture).
This experiment seeks to track the “mutation” of the two clones. Clone #1 is not too far from parking, and expects lots of visits. Clone #2 is pretty far back in there, and spends a lot of time alone. The goal is to see if the more social Clone #1 mutates further away from its original contents then the reclusive Clone #2. I don’t know if items from Clone #1 will migrate to Clone #2, if totally new items will show up in each, or if neither will ever be seen again by human eyes! I would note that, being Clones, they have set up residence in similar abodes, despite the distance that separates them.

NOTE: The road shown on the map is an old fire road that has a gate blocking it at the edge of the parking lot... so yer walking!

Good Luck!
