It's been a long road, getting from there to
here.
It's been a long time, but my time is finally near.
And I will see my dream come alive at last. I will touch the
sky.
And they're not gonna hold me down no more, no they're not gonna
change my mind.
Cause I've got faith of the heart.
I'm going where my heart will take me.
I've got faith to believe. I can do anything.
I've got strength of the soul. And no one's gonna bend or break
me.
I can reach any star.
I've got faith.
I've got faith, faith of the heart.
Little did we realize almost four years ago when we
started this amazing journey where it would lead us. We've met a
lot of GREAT folks along the way, as well as a few brutally nasty
ones. We've gathered up a lot of Kudos, as well as a huge amount of
vilification, some from very unexpected quarters. Thru it all,
We've tried to stay true to our original vision of honoring Hoosier
Pioneers and Veterans...--LEAD DOG
“INDIANA SPIRIT

The Indiana Spirit Quest series of
geocaches will take you to a number of historic sites and
cemeteries built by Hoosier Pioneers. In almost four years, the
quest has grown to over 600 caches hidden in Indiana, Ohio,
Michigan, and Ontario and the hiders have grown to over forty
cacher teams. Thousands of cacher teams have
logged over 50,000 finds on this series.

INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST
#604
"Green Story Two"
This cache replaces the original Green Story cache (ISQ 121
GCMWZK) which we had to move three times. Perhaps this one will
stay put and un-muggled.
Welcome to Wallace Cemetery in Noble
Township, Wabash County (Richvalley Quad). Watch out for muggles
here, as there are houses across the street. The cache container is
VERY well hidden, please put it back just the way it was, with its
special camo. This is a pretty neat place, next to Kentner Kreek on
the Farr Pike. The oldest tombstone I saw was for Mr.
Bidlesitter, buried here in 1856. Also,Look for the marker
for:
GREEN STORY
1835 - 1897
There is another WWI Field Artillery
Battery "Wagoner" buried here. We've seen this term on tombstones
in many of the Quest cemeteries. Typically a 6-gun battery would
have skilled privates not attached to gun crews attached too it,
drawing the equivalent of corporal's pay, in certain slots--Usually
an artificer (blacksmith) or two, teamsters (wagon drivers),
sometimes a farrier (Horseshoer), sometimes a saddler (harness
maker), but always a wagoner. The wagoner reported to the
Quartermaster Sergeant, and was in charge of rolling stock not part
of a gun (carriages, caissons , limbers). This would include
baggage wagons, forage wagons, sometimes
ambulances...
