Geocache Description:


This cache is located along the former Erie and Ontario Railway railbed. Then it was the Michigan Central Railway and eventually the CN rail line
Although the scarring of the railway is still evident, the actual rail-lines have been gone for many years.

The hardest part of this cache will be finding parking and getting access to the railbed.
The cache is located in an area that is accessible but if you approach from the southeast, you will be trespassing on railway lands....so please come in from the northwest side of Portage Road.

Once you have found the cache, take a minute to enjoy the scenery and the roaring thunder of the Falls and try to imagine what it was like almost 2 hundred years ago when the railway helped to sculpt the landscape.....after all, it's not always about the numbers.
