On the day this cache was placed a group of 9 intrepid IVV
walkers completed these walks in a scenic 8.5 km loop route, with
access to the London Bridge Woolshed and Homestead kindly granted
by the ACT Rangers. If you go directly to and from the cache the
distance is considerably shorter (about 4 km return).
Enjoy the serenity of this location but please cache with a
friend for safety because the area is not highly trafficked and
mobile reception is poor. I will be repeating this walk on Sat 10th
Dec, so if you'd like to wait till then you will have company for
the walk - let me know & I will give you all the meeting
details./p>
There is a seat near the cache for you to stop, reflect &
sign the log - and to see how high the river level is still after
the floods last December (2010).
A waypoint for the carpark is provided. Turn off Old Cooma Rd
onto Burra Rd, then left onto London Bridge Rd – the gate is
unlocked at 8am but you will need to open & shut a gate to
enter. The gate is locked again at 5 pm (7 pm during daylight
savings), so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time.
