Geocache Description:

VEDSTED KIRKE

On the hillside to Vedsted Lake lies Vedsted Church.
Whitewashed and with tiled roof.
The original church was built with Roman nave and choir, but is marked with many later extensions: extension of the choir, tower, transept and sacristy and in 1900 a stair tower.
The church was renovated in 1957.
The altarpiece with Madonna in the center is from Germany and dated 1515.
There is a Roman font.
