Geocache Description:

Belfast & Co Down Miniature Railway Society. (B.C.D.M.R.S)
Drumawhey Junction
The Cache is located just outside the Railway Junction.
There is a hard standing off the road, room enough for a car

The Belfast and County Down Miniature Railway Society (B&CDMRS) is a society of enthusiastic volunteers, that has built and run Drumawhey Junction Railway since 1991. The 7.25" gauge railway is about 1500m long, and has so far been the product of 14 years hard work. The railway is open to the public on over 40 days a year.
Funds had been raised by attending fairs and fetes around N. Ireland with a 100m long portable railway. Originally the fundraising trains were pulled by the steam engine ‘Winifred’, but were soon joined by ‘Waldenburg’. 0ther engines were soon either under construction or purchased by members of the growing society. Currently there are a total of 17 or so engines in the Society.
As The Belfast and Co. Down Miniature Railway Society is a non-profit making organisation; the fares charged are used solely to sustain and develop the railway. However, over the years they have benefited from various grants and numerous donations.

Well worth a visit
