Geocache Description:

In a marshy area, some elevation changes, briars, difficulty levels are based on the geocache system and can vary depending on approach into the site.

The cache is located in the vicinity of Tidewater Community College’s (Virginia Beach Campus) Science Building. The Science Building is a new facility with a state of the art planetarium and houses Physics, Geophysical Sciences, Biology and Chemistry departments. The 35-foot wave tank in the Oceanography Lab is pretty awesome. In addition, the Geophysical Sciences Department operates the research vessel, R/V Matthew F. Maury, the last of the operational Vietnam-era SwiftBoats (PCF-2) in the United States.

While looking for the cache (a camouflaged SnapWare box), move quietly! In the area where you’ll find this cache are deer, foxes, hawks, ducks, and geese, as well as an assortment of insects and amphibians in the wetland area. If you see any wildlife, please log it in the book.

I’ve placed some science-related trade items in the box. If you have some small rocks or minerals or other science items to trade that will be great! For the military geocachers, I’ve placed some of those as well.

The clips on the side of the container must be firmly snapped back in place or it'll leak. Please rehide the cache. Plenty of brush in the area if necessary. Thanks! Enjoy!
