Geocache Description:

Part of the Chorley Challenge - a cache in every Chorley village!

Heath Charnock

You'll find Heath Charnock to the south east of Chorley town centre, it is traversed by the River Yarrow and its eastern boundary is formed by one of the Rivington reservoirs.

Ramshackle Farm



This area is great for walking, there are paths all over, and some very nice farmland around Slacks Lane, on the Rivington side. There's no caches over there yet, surprisingly.

If you park at the recommended spot, you'll walk straight through a very dilapidated farmyard, with goats, chickens and milk pails. The whole operation seems to be falling apart, but the yokel who runs it seems cheery enough!

The cache is some way past here, and has decent views over the surrounding moorland.
