Geocache Description:

Old A30 Revisited - Indian Queens

The A30 is the backbone of Cornwall. Over the years, road 'improvement' schemes have altered its course, bypassing significant sections of the 'old' road. It's surprising how many of these orphaned bits of the old A30 there are in Cornwall.

The trip from Land's End to the county border (Dunheved Bridge), is about 80 miles. Up to 50 miles of which can be travelled using about 18 to 20 sections of the old A30. And I'm sorry to say that I think they have all been bypassed in my lifetime!

June 1995 saw the completion of a seven mile section of dual-carriageway running from Goss Moor to Carland Cross. It bypassed Indian Queens, Fraddon, Summercourt, and Mitchell. Previously, each of those villages was a major bottleneck, especially in the holiday season.

Welcome to Indian Queens

The cache is on a 3 mile section of the old A30 that runs through Indian Queens and Fraddon. It is close to the A39 over bridge, but it is NOT accessible from the A39. It may be a muggle rich environment, so some degree of stealth may be required!

You're looking for a small plastic container. There is limited space for TBs.
