Short Multi-Cache set in the village of Rowledge, Surrey.
The Co-ordinates above are for the suggested Car Park, which is within 50 metres of the cache location. Allow about 15 minutes for this cache, which is wheelchair friendly.
The Parish of Rowledge, about 3 miles south of Farnham in Surrey, is situated partly in Surrey and partly in Hampshire and is made up of the villages of Rowledge, Holt Pound, the hamlet of Bucks Horn Oak, and part of Boundstone. The Parish has a population of about 3,000 and includes a large tract of Alice Holt forest. The Alice Holt woodland park attracts many visitors for cycling, walking, dog walking, horse riding and the adventure playground is ideal for children.
The parish church of St. James is located in Church Lane on the very edge of the Alice Holt forest. It is an attractive building in an attractive location and was built in the second half of the 19th Century when this new parish was created.
When was the Church built? I have told you the rough date already, but the exact date can be found in several locations on the outside of the building. This is ABCD.
