Geocache Description:


WDirections:

  • North bound – Exit 504, then the frontage road toward the Red River and u-turn. Get right back on I-35 south, then Exit 502. Note: you must get back on I-35; the service road goes behind the rest area.
  • South bound – Exit 502. This exit proceeds through the rest area.

Posted coordinates are the Texas World War II Historical Monument.  Clues are in the BATTLE RECORDS section.

  • N 33° AB.CDE
    • AB = find SOLDIERS MEDAL and swap the two numbers.
    • CDE = find POWS, add 6 to the three digits.
  • W 097° VW.XYZ
    • VW = the two middle digits in the line listing PURPLE HEARTS. 
    • XYZ = in the line listing the BATTLE DEATHS, place the last number in the sequence in front of the other two. So, if it reads 123, change it to 312.
