Geocache Description:

The given Co-ordinates are for RAF St Mawgans runway.
The cache is Located somewhere around RAF St Mawgan EGDG.
Easily accessable.

As a keen military aviation enthusiast i really wanted to place my first cache somewhere around RAF St Mawgan as i have spent many an hour logging RAF & foreign air arms visiting on exercise or deployments.

Raf St Mawgan became a coastal command airfield in 1951 and at that time Avro Lancasters & Shackletons were in residence.

Since then various aircraft has been based at St Mawgan in various roles, so i thought i would use this as part of a quiz to obtain the co-ordinates, so here goes.

1. RAF St Mawgan operated the Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft here between 1971 & 1991 which equipped the 236 OCU and which other squadron. ?? Sqn / two figures added together (Answer A)

2. What number squadron operated the TT-18 English Electric Canberra’s that towed target tugs here between 1970 & 1982 ? (Answer B)

3. The Gate Guardian at RAF St Mawgan has how many 20mm
cannons in it’s nose ? (Answer C)

4. The Gate Guardian serial number is WL- ??? (Answer E F D)
