Becks Wood - Part II Multi-Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This is a mature, mixed broadleaved and coniferous woodland in the heart of the ancient Needwood Forest. This woodland is opposite Jackson's Bank. The main car park can be used for both woods.
The footpaths are grassed, with some steepish inclines. The minor trails can be wet and muddy. The tree cover even in winter is quite dense, so don't rely 100% on your GPSr.
There is a dedicated car park, that has pinic benches in an adjacent area, and is very popular for walking. A great place for bringing the kids and dogs. You'll need to take a short walk from the main car park (30 yards), on the verge of the road, to access the main footpath.
If you park in the main car park, allow about an hour to do the circular of the parent and Part II.
The cache is a small/medium click/lock container, just off a trail close to one of the main footpaths.
The co-ordinates shown are not for the actual cache, the cache co-ords can be found in "Becks Wood - Light Me Up (Again)".
This side of the woods are much less muggle prone than Jackson's Bank.
However, the "PRIVATE" area's look like they're reserved for game bird breeding, and sport shooting. Do not go into these areas.
