What A View! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BirkieHiker: Well, this is my first cache that I must archive and it was tough to do. The area has experienced some sea wear and the cliff is breaking down and has become more dangerous. In addition, it has become a favorite of kids/adults to drink their beer and create quite a CITO problem. So the view is still there, but the cache is not. Thanks to all the visitors that came by to enjoy the view.

Geocache Description:

The Yachats State Park sits at the confluence of the Yachats River and the Pacific Ocean and offers spectacular views of ocean, waves, blow holes, beautiful homes, and sights south along the Oregon Coast to Cape Perpetua.

The cache is a camouflaged lock & lock and hidden among the prickly varieties of coastal shrubbery. It is placed in a hidden fishing spot and may be difficult to access because of muggles during certain times of the year. The area is protected from inquisitive eyes in the parking lot and the trees frame the beautiful views of the ocean and river with the waves crashing upon the rocks.

The area is close to the cliffs and small children should be supervised. This is a high muggle area, PLEASE replace carefully so it will not get stolen again!
