In der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts nahm die Hollandgängerei immense Ausmaße an.
Jeder dritte arbeitsfähige Mann ging damals zur Saisonarbeit in die Niederlande.
Der Holländerweg und das Holländerpütt (Rastplatz) zeugen noch davon.
