The cache is in near the car park for Butterly Country Park, and
Midland Railway Centre. It is a small lunch box containing a log
book and goodies. Ground near cache is not tarmac, but should be
wheelchair accessible. It is not in the middle of the bushes, there
has been some damage to them. Please replace exactly where found,
this cache has nearly been disabled once because it had been hidden
2m away!
Nearby, in the museum you will find toilets and a cafe as well as
buses, trains, miniature and narrow gauge railways. The museum is
free to visitors and open every day of the year except Christmas
Day and Boxing Day. On running days facilities and attractions are
available from 30 minutes before the first train leaves Butterley.
On non running days only the Railway Museum, the West Shed
Experience, the Farm Park, the Demonstration Signal Box and the
Victorian Railwayman's Church are available and these are open from
9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Details of train times and events are
available on their website if you would like to time your visit to
