A
great place for bird watching, going to the beach or the
harbour
Un
gran lugar para el pájaro que mira, yendo a la playa o al
puerto.
San
Pedro de Salinas was one of the first places I discovered when I
first came to Spain as I used to wait here before going down to the
airport to get my plane back to the UK.
It is still one of
my favourite places to visit - to come bird watching - to enjoy
listening to the sounds of the waves and to enjoy the scenery at
any time of the year.

You
will see the real ones on the lagoons.
Sometimes feeding near to the road.
You
can go bird watching on the nearby reserve or walk across, to the
lovely, sandy beach. Others are down by the port and
marina.
The
salt works are nearby. (You can do an Earthcache here
too)!

watch the sun set over the harbour.
Or
the moon rise over the lagoons! Black knecked Grebe at 5 o'clock -
Mars at 7 o'clock.
The Salinas are an
important bird habitat and the area between the road and the beach
was declared a protected zone in 1998 - Especial Protection Zone
for Birds (ZEPA). Within the park there are six beaches, a port
used both for fishing and recreation and the salt extraction plant.
You can also find a restaurant, a dune system and flora and fauna
of great importance. Take time to walk through the natural park or
ride your bike through it. It is also a nice place to watch the sun
set. You can find the mud baths nearby at Lo Pagan.
Remember - Leave nothing but footprints - Take nothing but
photo's and memories.

salinas son un habitat importante del pájaro y el área entre el
camino y la playa fue declarada una zona protegida en 1998 Zona de
Especial Protección para las Aves (ZEPA). Dentro del parque hay
seis playas, un puerto utilizó ambos para la pesca y reconstrucción
y la planta de la extracción de la sal. Usted puede también
encontrar un restaurante, un sistema de la duna y una flora y fauna
de la gran importancia. Tome el tiempo para caminar a través del
parque natural o para montar su bici a través de ella. Es también
