York Bridge #1 Millenium Bridge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not repaired it I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Many thanks,

Geocache Description:

This simple cache is a 35mm sized container attached to the Bridge. You will need to bring a pen/pencil - and write very small in the log.
PLEASE - PLEASE - make sure you put the cache on to magnetic friendly metal

The York Millennium bridge is a pedestrian bridge across the river Ouse. The bridge cost over £4 million. The main span is 80m. The structure consists of a welded steel box pathway suspended from an inclined stainless steel arch by radial ties - arranged like the spokes of a bicycle wheel.

It is one mile from the York City Centre and is located along the Millenium Way. This is a nice walk along the river and it is worth making a very short diversion into Rountrees Park.
