Kastellet seen from Vaxholm
Låt inte "frågetecknet" skrämma er, alla svar ni behöver för att hitta denna cache kommer ni finna när ni väl är på plats.
Vaxholms kastell var under medeltiden en av dom viktigaste försvarsanläggningarna för Stockholms inlopp men i takt med att moderna vapen konstruerades blev den snabbt omodern. Kastellet i sin nuvarande skepnad var omodern redan när den bygdes vilket den enda provskjutningen mot murarna med moderna projektiler visade.
Idag finns på Kastellet ett museum, en konferensanläggning med äventyrsaktiviteter och festvåning samt ett bed- and breakfast hotell. Enklast tar du dig hit med Waxholmsbolagets ordinarie turer från Stockholm eller kajen i Vaxholm. Sommartid går också en linfärja från Vaxholm.

För att hitta cachen behöver du vandra runt på Kastellet och söka svaren på följande frågor:
På mingården fanns en skylt med ett årtal. Den sista siffran i årtalet var 2. Notera detta som A.
Gå dom 133 trapstegen upp i tornet och beundra utsikten. På vägen ner räknar du antalet synliga bultar från utsidan av dörrarna in till trappan och noterar antalet som B.
Räkna antalet kanoner som står på stora borggården. Addera siffrorna i talet med varandra och notera summan som C.
Räkna antalet fönster mellan de två röda dörrarna på bed & breakfasthotellet (norra borggården). Räkna enbart de som är på samma höjd som dörrarna. Drag två från antalet och notera resultatet som D.
Vilket år blev Kastellet statligt byggnadsminnesmärke? Lägg ihop de två sista siffrorna i årtalet och notera detta som E
Vilken kung förutom vår nuvarande har skrivit sitt namn på muren vid minneslunden? Lägg två till hans ordningsnummer och notera resultatet som F

Do not let the blue question mark frighten you, all the answers you need will be found by walking around Kastellet.
Kastellet was one of the most important Stockholm sea entrance defence facilities for a couple of hundred of years during the middle age. However modern warfare with new weapons made it outdated very quick. In fact, the fortress in its present shape was even outdated before it stood ready as the only test shooting with modern guns showed during the build.
Today Kastellet hosts a military museum, a conference facility and a bed and breakfast hotell. You can get here by public transportation. Waxholmsbolaget take you here from Stockholm or Vaxholm. During summer time there are also a small ferry going from Vaxholm to Kastellet.

To find the cache you need to walk around Kastellet and find the answers of the following questions:
On the mine yard there was an information sign with a year printed on it. The last digit on the year was 2. Note that as A.
Walk the 133 steps of the stair up to the top of the tower and enjoy the view. On the way down, note the number of bolts seen on the outside of the doors leading back into the tower and note it as B.
Count the number of cannons seen on the main courtyard. Add the digits in the number and note the sum as C.
Count the number of windows between the two red doors of the bed & breakfast hotel (northern courtyard). Only count the windows on the same floor level as the doors. Then subtract two from that number and note the result as D.
Which year were Kastellet promoted as historic landmark by the Swedish government? Take the last two digits in the year and add them together. Note the sum as E.
Which Swedish king except the present has signed the wall near the memorial? Take the kings order number and add two to it. Note the sum as F.
NOTE!! No stones had to/should be moved in order to find the cache!!
