Sometimes You Feel Like A NUT Traditional Cache

wandering4cache: 12 years long enough I guess. Went out to parking to see what’s up. Seems someone put up a No Trespassing sign ON the public clearly marked Midstate Trail aka dirt road aka right of way and fire access road. ????? While I feel the geocache is totally accessible from west or east end of road as it is a PUBLIC hiking trail, just not gonna deal with it. People don’t want to walk short distance from west end, they sure won’t walk from east end.

Anyway, this was always one of my favorite geocache containers. An 8” acorn hanging in a pine tree. Bummer. We will retrieve the geocache.

Geocache Description:

BLAZE ORANGE MIGHT BE GOOD IDEA. NOT SURE IF HUNTING ALLOWED HERE. Approx .3 mile walk on former dirt road turned section of Mid-State Trail (yellow triangles). Nice stone walls, Sacarrappa Pond, OAKS & pines. Terrain rating is for approx 100ft of bushwhacking to cache. No late night caching please as nearby home had dog that barked when we parked. Don't want to worry neighbors.

Don't let the terrain rating or thought of looking for micro in the woods scare you off. If you liked GC10Y0A - An Extra Set of Eyes, you'll probably like this one too. Come find this one before the SQUIRRELS do.

Park at end of Lovett Road in front of chain to trailhead. Abutting homeowner asks that you do NOT park on his grass on either side of road. Stay on asphalt. Try not to block the dirt road as we believe it is still the access to a camp on east side of pond. Obey any Private Property or No Trespassing signs.

Look around. No need to climb any trees. Bring a pen. No spoilers please. Give it a favorite point if you liked it. Thanks.
