This multicache is located at Pohick Bay Regional Park. The first cache has been placed so it is relatively easy to find. The first cache is .3 miles from the starting point. The second cache is only a log book/pensand more of a challenge.Each of these caches have a logbook so you can stop at the first or go on for more of a challenge and find the second. Don't let the overall rating (calculated for cache #2) scare you off from the first cache (cache #1 - Difficulty =1, Terrain = 2.5).
I would recommend the following:
- comfortable hiking shoes/boots
- park map (You'll really need it for cache #2)
- water
- insect repellent
- Please DON'T start out late to find these caches as you will need daylight to find them.
- Do not park along Gunston Road (also known as the "Gunston Autobahn") as this is very hazardous.
- Bring a pad and pencil to write down clues for cache #2
- Always be careful reaching around any log as there are snakes and other wildlife in the park.
- The park prefers that you hike from cache 1 to 2 and not park in front of the Camp Wilson gate.
Clues:
- Start from the mini-golf parking lot
- Think like a horse
- Cache #1 has a commanding view
- Find cache #1 and it has all the clues you'll need for #2
