This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

cache is in an ammo box. Feel free to take one but please leave one. Please keep it moving. Do not keep it or let it wind up in someones collection. These rules came from another travel bug hotel. It sounds like good rules to me. ONE MORE THING, PLEASE HIDE IT WELL. THANK YOU.

Selin Carillo was the last of the original stagecoach drivers. He was in his eighth year of driving stagecoaches when the southern pacific railroad completed it's coast line between San Francisco and Los Angeles in 1901, Thus putting stagecoaches out of business. He died at the ripe old age of 91 on January 9, 1956 mourned by his wife, six of his eight children, 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren--and a legion of stagecoach history buffs, including local historian Walker A. Tompkins. While you are at this area, take a look around, you are standing in an area filled with Santa Barbara-stagecoach history. Selin drove his stagecoach through this area.
