The Church of St. Mary’s Weaverham was recorded in the Domesday Survey in 1086 and it is believed that there has been a settlement and place of worship here dating back to Roman times. If you want to find out some of the historical detail of the church go to www.stmarysweaverham.org and go to the Resources option.
If you want to go in the church it is usually open 10am-3pm on a Saturday along with the times of worship.
The Wilbraham Tomb lies in the churchyard of St. Mary the Virgin Weaverham at the co-ordinates above. It is quite a striking part of the graveyard. Park in the church car park, near the tomb.
