Geocache Description:

The Shaggy Mane Trail in Campbell Valley Regional Park is an 11 km. loop around the park. The time required to walk the entire trail is about 3.5 hours but we are only going to walk a short section of the trail. The trail winds through the forest, crosses the bog area in the south and meanders the southern park to the meadows in the west. The northern section again goes through the forest and then skirts the Equestrian Center in the east where it comes back to our starting point. There can be some muddy and slippery areas on the trail so your Sunday best shoes are not the best choice. Did we mention horse droppings? There will be lots of those to avoid as well.

Guided horse back riding is available in the Park and a quick search of the Langley phone book or a Google search will give you additional information.

Horses have the right of way on this trail.

At the starting location you will need to find a magnetic micro with a four digit number on in. This number is X.XXX and will complete your West coordinates for the final.

Now proceed down the Shaggy Mane trail to Waypoint number 2. (N49 00.954 W122 38.450).There you will be looking for another four digit number, Y.YYY.

This is an environmentally friendly waypoint. Please treat it as such. There is no need to disturb any moss, logs etc. The coordinates are within 1 meter of the main trail.
Now it appears that the item you are looking for to get the next set of coordinates has been buried by the reconstruction of the Shaggy Mane Trail, so, what you will need to do is find the "Deer Trail" and walk along that trail until you get to the west coordinates. Here is where you will find the cache.
These will complete your North coordinates.

The cache is located at N49 0Y.YYY W122 38.865

You are looking for an ammo can with a trophy for the FTF.

Remember to have fun, and watch out for horse droppings.

The fine print. When you hunt for this cache, you do so at your own risk. This trail is designed for horses and can be very muddy at times, so it is probably a good idea to wear older footwear. Beware of horses sneaking up behind you as they can be very hard to hear coming.
