The above given coordinates are not the cache coordinates but bring you to Schönberg cemetery which is classified as one of the national monuments of Luxembourg. Characteristic for this site are the numerous little stone crosses originating from the 16th and 17th century. Those crosses once served as gravestones, but were later on arranged alongside the cemetery wall. Many of the stones are thought to be of Celtic origin but the inhabitants of Kehlen reused them.
This place is not remarkable only because of the cemetery but also because of other history. During the Gallo-Roman era the place was known as Callidovilla (the villa of Callidus) and there existed an important junction of two Roman roads. A Roman stone base dedicated to the four gods was discovered on the heights of Schönberg at the point where those two Roman roads once crossed. The original stone is now exposed in the National Museum of History and Art but a replica of it can be seen at the entrance of the graveyard.
According to a legend there once existed a "bewitched" village at Schönberg but was disappeared or destroyed about 400 years ago. Some sources mention the demolition taken place at the 30 years war whereas others say the pestilence marked an end for the village. No traces of the village are found, but it may have situated not far away from the cemetery.
