Maureen Kelly Murphy was a police officer shot in the line of duty in Bonner Springs, KS.
In 1986, 28 year old Kelly Murphy was doing paperwork in her police car when a sniper with a high powered rifle shot her. The suspect was later apprehended and then hung himself in his cell taking the cowards way out. This little park has been dedicated to Kelly Murphy for the service she did and the life she gave to keep all Bonner Springs residents safe. She is survived by her husband who is also a police officer.
This is a nano cache hidden in a nano park in tiny downtown Bonner Springs KS. This cache is almost all handicap accessible with the expection of the last few feet. This should be an easy find, yet you may not want to hunt for it on Thursday evenings in June and July due to city parties. Muggles are everywhere and kids are notorious for hanging out there. Please use stealth and someone please let me know when the log gets full.
