Geocache Description:


Thousandaires BBQ 11:00 AM till...Saturday August 23, 2008.

Where: at Freeport Beach in North East. Bring your suits.

You don't know how hard it is to get a pavilion in this area unless it's December. They were all taken so I opted for a "you get there first in the morning and you can have it" pavilion. Since I need to be there at sun up to reserve the pavilion we will be starting about 11:00AM. I don't expect to be eating until 1 or 2 PM.

This is a BBQ for all geocachers and geocacher wannabes. It's in honor of all the cachers who made it to 1000 finds so far this year. There are a lot of you out there. If you've found over one cache you are invited. If you don't have any finds, you have 6 months to find one.

As is the custom with NWPA Events, there is no charge to attend.

There will be event caches (as well as the great caches that are already in the area.)
Bring your travel bugs to drop off or trade.
Bathrooms are available.
Not sure if leashed pets are permitted. I'll check on that.

OK, I CHECKED ON IT. NO PETS ALLOWED IN THE PARK. OF COURSE THEY CAN BE OUTSIDE THE FENCE. THE PAVILLION IS CLOSE TO THE FENCE AND WE CAN SET UP NEARER TO IT.

Be sure to bring your camera.
Drop in for a few minutes or stay the whole day. All are welcome.

No alcohol in sight rule.

Please bring a covered dish if you are local. Anyone coming from California should bring chips. Don't laugh. In past years we have had cachers from California come to this event and they brought chips.
I will be bringing my gas grill so bring hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, or steaks.

Paper plates, napkins, plastic ware will also be provided.
