How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

The cache is in Tembe Elephant Park, at Mahlasela Hide. You will need a 4x4 vehicle to access the Park

Tembe Elephant Park has the largest elephants in the world, and is situated in the Maputaland Coastal Plains. The hide is one of the most productive for game viewing in South Africa (my opinion) and you are virtually guaranteed to see some of these giants if you are there during mid-day. To access the Park you have to enter via the main gate where the normal Kwa-Zulu Natal Wildlife entrance fees will apply.

The cache is a small plastic container, please cover up after you have found it... We left a cone shell to guard the cache - some of the species in this family are highly venomous (this one is of course long deceased and was picked up on the beach nearby)
