Hooterville is 300 miles from Chicago and 50 miles from Pixley. The
only way to reach the place is by the Hooterville Cannonball, an
old train which makes regular stops along the way (though it never
adheres to a strict schedule).
One of the prominent buildings on the outskirts of Hooterville is
the Shady Rest Hotel located at the end of a railway line. The
location of the Shady Rest location is also known as "Petticoat
Junction" because during the summer time, the daughters of the
owner (Kate Bradley) would drape their petticoats over the water
tower while swimming.
Notable residents include farmer Newt Kiley; Ben Miller, an apple
farmer; Mr. Haney, the county con man; Hank Kimball, the idiotic
county agent; Sam Drucker, the only shopkeeper in Hooterville;
Sarah Hotchkiss Trendell, the telephone operator and Fred Ziffel, a
pig farm owner and "father" of Arnold Ziffel.
Newcomers to the town of Hooterville include transplanted New
Yorkers Oliver Wendell Douglas and his wife, Lisa who purchased a
dilapidated farm located four miles outside the town of Hooterville
called "Green Acres." A little known fact is that The Clampetts
originally hailed from a backwoods locale somewhere along the
fertile crescent that stretches from Hooterville to Pixley. (Before
leaving for the high life in Beverly Hills).
The cache is small but the camo is fairly large. There is a little
climbing involved to retrieve the cache but if you're fit enough to
reach the general area, you should be capable of retrieving it.
