Geocache Description:

An easy to get to hide at a hurricane gate.

Some travlers may wonder why we have gates at the I64 ramps. They are to enable the east bound lanes to be used for west bound traffic in the event of an emergency evacuation. Here is a link to see more details if you are interested: (visit link)
With any luck, we will never find out how well the idea works.

The cache is big enough for very small items, and there are some in there to start. Bring a pen, it's not big enough for that. Also, there is a Where's George bill for the first to find.

DO NOT park on the interstate entrance ramp. It is illegal and unsafe. On Route 30 there is a very wide shoulder for safe parking, and you never need to leave the protected side of the guardrail. But you will be beside a highway, so use caution with younger kids.
