This track has been designed and built as a multi-use track. For
both walkers and mountain bike riders. So if you are a keen or not
so keen mountain bike rider you should have a go. It caters for all
levels of experience from beginners to the more experienced.
The cache is located about two-thirds along the track at a boulder
field. The work that has been done here needs to be seen to be
believed. It was all done by hand!
The track starts about 10 meters above the entrance to the
Shoobridge Track and then crosses it and runs parallel below the
Lenah Valley track coming out at Junction Cabin.
If you are riding you can return along the same track or continue
along the fire trails and come out at Lenah Valley or South Hobart.
If you are setting out along the North South track and returning
via the lenah Vally and Shoobridge tracks there a number of caches
you could do starting with
Once Was Firetrail, Boulder Field
Junction Cabin , And returning along the Lenah Valley Track and
visiting
A Christmas Cache ,
Egyptian Monolith ,
Between a Rock and.... ,
Squidly Diddly ,This will return you to your car.
But remember if you are riding Mountain Bikes are not permitted
on the Lenah Valley or Shoobridge tracks.
Remember the weather on the mountain may change very quickly any
time of year, so wear strong shoes, bring water and always bring a
raincoat, even on a sunny day.
