On OCT.30 1889 a baby boy was born in cannonville, supposely that same day the big rock broke loose and rolled to it's present location; hence the name Birth Rock. For years the family maintained a message painted on it that one could plainly read from the road "Sam Graff Birth Rock 1889" but later i think the state road dept. had it removed or the family just quit maintaining it.Cache is in a small container with blue lid with log. minimal bushwacking required but not difficult. have fun.
