Geocache Description:

A very popular hiking trail for families (though if you are carrying a baby in a backpack -as some do- it might be a little tricky- I've seen it done many times! ). If starting from the restaurant BarBaHar, the complete hike should take one hour or less including rests along the trail to take in the breathtaking awesome scenary.

There are a few options:
1. Clockwise route. One could park your car at the restaurant "BarBaHar" and start the hike from there; see additional waypoint. Just walk north from the restaurant on a dirt road and pick up the "red" trail. (Here is a hint if you want it... you don't need it... but here it is anyway: There is a turn to the east from the main road at waypoint N31 44.188 E035 04.385 ) After finding the cache I recommend to continue on the red trail til it ends at the black trail junction (see additional waypoints), then follow the black trail up (UP) back to the restaurant. It's very easy. Good luck.

2. CounterClockwise Route. There is additional parking a few hundred meters east of the restaurant (see additional waypoints). Follow the "Black" trail til it meets at the "Red" trail junction (see additional waypoints). Now keep going straight on the "Red" Scenic trail. After finding the cache I recommend to continue on the Red trail til the restaurant. The Capachino is good. Good luck.

The cache is small plastic container with a log and some small items. It is located only few meters off the trail. Until you arrive at the cache practice LNT (Leave No Trace) principles and stay on the trail; you can get a map at the information booth if you want. Return the container behind the BIG ROCK, and don't hide more than necesary. I want this cache to be found easily so the trail is kept natural and beautiful for the next hiker.

Just remember to bring one liter of water per person per hour and a HAT. Don't forget a camera and/or art supplies.

On Saturday mornings you will see dozens of motorcycles, bicycles and hikers at the restaurant, a social gathering point. Of course only hikers are allowed on the trail. This hike is located in the Judean Hills. This is MUST do hike. I hike this trail at least ten times a year, especially in the Spring when the flowers are in bloom. There are longer trails (1-6 hours) in the area for more adventurous hikers.

Enjoy !
