Geocache Description:

The cache is a micro container with a logbook. BYOP. Parking is available near the site. Stealth may be required.

I received permission to place this cache from Rush Township Supervisors.

In historic Philipsburg along Moshannon Creek,
My story you will learn if you choose to seek.
You can find me I have no doubt.
I stand with trees at Point Lookout,
A first in the U.S. I can claim,
Harman Philips gave me fame.
I got my start in 1821,
15 years later I was done.
There’s not much here to be found,
For someone burnt me to the ground.
See my stones and read my story,
Learn about my years of glory.

And look for a smaller marker next to the pine,
It stood along a turnpike until 1989.
