The first section of the Darvil Trail is preserved by the Skagit Land Trust - Skagit Land Trust protects wildlife habitat, agricultural and forest lands, scenic open space, wetlands, and shorelines throughout the mainland and islands of Skagit County for the benefit of our community and as a legacy for future generations!
Walk quietly, watch, and listen while on this trail. We've seen owl, deer and other critters here. At about 1/2 mile this trail enters city park land.
For an enjoyable loop - hike beyond the cache - continue following the trail upward. It gets rather steep near the top, but the footing is good. Enjoy the views! The trail continues along the south side of the radio tower building - with a few more peek-a-boo views before dropping quickly back to the Darvil Trailhead.
