Geocache Description:


This is an interesting site straddling the Rockbridge/Augusta County line. The birthplace of the inventor of the mechanical reaper, this area is now a National Historic Landmark owned & operated by VPI. There are several interesing displays and a great spot for a picnic. Original bison tube has now been replaced with a small lock 'n lock which could hold small trackables. Still located near the entrance to this area. BYOP
