Geocache Description:

Accessed from the Appalachian Trail at Devil's Fork Gap. TN/NC state line. TN Hwy 352 & NC Hwy 212. Moderate terrain. Distance to cache app. 1.44 miles. Cache Elevation: 3550 ft.

Fairly strenuous hike of app. 1.44 miles, each way. Took me about 52 minutes to reach cache site. Hike Southbound along AT towards Flint Mtn. shelter (2.7 miles). Cache is .30 cal ammo box, painted black & green. Contains some tradeables and log. BYOP Cache is about 50 ft. to left of AT (going Southbound). Rocky area. Go downhill. Cache can be found behind/under a large boulder. BE VERY CAREFUL STEPPING ON THE ROCKS!!! WATCH OUT FOR SNAKES & BEES !!! GPS readings were good in this area when cache was placed (leaves off trees). Maybe not so good in Spring & Summer.
