After nine years of planning and fund raising, The Veterans Memorial Walls in Memorial Park are finally up surrounded by new landscaping, benches, and flagpoles.
Several local businesses and community members donated their time, talents and funds for the project.
The two memorial walls have room for 1000 – 4 inch by 8 inch tiles listing the Vet’s Name, Branch of service and unit or ship. Any Veteran, living or dead may have a tile on the Memorial Wall. If you’re interested in having a tile placed on the Memorial Wall contact the Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce.
9/13/08 The first 121 tiles were installed during Quincy's Farmer Consumer Awarness Days.
