This cache is located in a part of the Howard County Park system, a
few hundred feet from a paved trail. I pass this location every
week or so on a bike ride, most of the time on a ride to Savage for
lunch and have thought this spot was just begging for a cache. I've
set the terrain rating higher than suggested because of the final
few feet. A paved path will get you to within a couple hundred
feet, then it is a short walk through short overgrowth to within
20' of the cache.
WARNING! There is some rusty fence and rusted barbed wire
near the cache, Trying for this cache in a hurry or darkness
could result in tripping over the fence or barbed wire - and a
nasty fall into the riverbed. Parking is available at most of the
'trailheads' ranging from Lake Elkhorn to Guilford Road at the old
Iron RR Bridge but not from Old Columbia Rd. Do not try to get here
from Rt-32 or the ramp off 32. The paths are tree shaded and
relatively cool.
Keep and eye out for wild life, I saw a two deer on the path the
day I put the cache out.
This Lock-jn-Lock cache is beginning life with a couple
'matchbook' cars and one un-activated coin for the FTF prize.
