Geocache Description:

Stroll through the neighbourhood of Ravenswood, built on what was once the Ipswich Airport, discover 8 locations and solve the simple numeric riddle for the final coordinates.

(26/12/2020: Some changes have been made to the clue stages of this cache, but the clues themselves remain the same. If you had previously gathered some of the clues you can carry on where you left off. While the final coordinates have remained exactly the same, it was also necessary to reduce the size of the cache to a micro. Happy hunting!)

For this one you will need your trusty GPS, knowledge of Roman numerals, the ability to count and a calculator (or a sharp mind). The route is quite flat, but please stick to the path as much as possible (it won't always be possible). You can cycle most of the route, but not to the cache. Feel free to take the odd detour: there are some odd things about. The lamp post on the cycle path near clue #2 (the one nearest the main road where the lowest house numbers are) will provide some help as well as a clue for cache 13. And spend a moment admiring the second Picket-Hamilton Fort (near the start). It was dug out of the ground in the area where they are now building new houses and placed here. You can find more info on the Ipswich Airport at www.ipswichairport.info and, of course, on Wikipedia.

Parking is available at N 52°1.429' E 1°11.472'.

02: Surprise! N52°1.704' E001°11.879' I am a Picket Hamilton Fort: they rediscovered me when building these houses. I wonder why the house numbers in this street do not start at one. Add together all the missing house numbers at the North end of this boulevard (odd and even!). F = ***

06: Prop N52°1.784' E001°11.761' Here I lie, larger than life: how many small propellors can you find embossed on my hub and blades? Look carefully - they may look like flowers, but they are not (most are spinning)! G = **

07: Handstanding N52°1.723' E001°11.676' Body, hands and feet: all hands! How many can you count around the base of my plinth? H = *

09: Final Approach N52°1.X ' E001°11.Y ' - where - X = A + B + C + D + E + F + G + (B x E) Y = F + H There may be many routes to the cache.

Be stealthy! Please be sure to re-hide carefully as the area is fairly exposed. ## A code for Cache 13 (GC1KF2V) can be found somewhere in this hunt ##
