Geocache Description:

A cache very close to landing-strip of Ferihegy-2 international airport of Budapest, Hungary), spectacular location.

Because of many muggles who are also interseted in the view of landing planes, two caches are hidden close to the 31L landing-strip of Ferihegy 2 airport. 1. The traditional box is hidden under a solitary locust tree standing at the bank of maglódi channel, on the side closer to the landing-strip satorna. I don't recommend to jump accross the channel, you can approach the place without any ridsk. The blue cylindrical box with a red lid of size 11x11 cm is hidden at N 47° 25,153' E 19° 18,253'. 2. The spare box is a 35mm film canister hidden in hollow of a tree and covered by pieces of bark. Try to put the bark back to it's original position. Since there is no place for a pen, I hung one on the opposite side of the tree. Coordinates: N 47° 24,867' E 19° 18,136' Approach: For those who arrive by car, it is best to drive to direction Ferihegy 2 airport, but then drive forward through Vecsés, then turn left heading Ecser. From there you can easily find the spare cache which is directly beside the road (within 5 m). For the primary cache you have to drive a bit further while crossing the landing path of the planes. The last 200 m can be approached only by bike or by foot. For those who want to come with bike a longer track (about 8 km), I recommend the approach from district Rákoskeresztúr, along the NE fence of the airport. It is more spectacular route both from the nature and the technical point of view. The dirt track is in some places a deeper sand thus wider wheels of mountainbikes are here more advantageous. Try it at night too, it can be more fun! :-)
